This Could've Gone Better

This Could’ve Gone Better is a 6o-minute, dark-comedy monologue that explores the seemingly fleeting moments of a young woman’s life.   

After getting stuck in a supermarket freezer during a pitiful attempt to steal ice-cream, a nameless woman is forced to come to terms with the disappointments, losses, dreams and hopes of her lacklustre existence. Through anecdotes, poetry, dark comedy, and a complicated relationship with a freezer-wall, the complexities of a twenty-first century existence crash-down in haunting waves of grief and fantasy. 

What is it like to be promised the world and receive nothing?  

What is it like to dream only to wake up?  

How do you mourn a life dying right in front of your eyes?  

Join the young woman as she barely-copes, complains, and deludes herself from reality at a time when hiding from the truth could be devastating.
