Description

Each piece reflects a deep relationship with landscape, memory and community – carrying techniques and stories that continue to live on through contemporary craftsmanship.

The wool is spun from Creole sheep of the Gran Chaco, and every textile is dyed using local plants, leaves, bark and fruits, resulting in a rich and distinctive palette rooted entirely in place. The vivid colours and intricate patterns speak to the vibrancy of Qomle’ec culture today, and to the resilience of a community for whom weaving remains a living, essential practice.

Every work in this exhibition is entirely handmade. Variations in colour, texture and weave are signatures – visible traces of the artisan’s hand and testament to a knowledge transmitted not through written instruction, but through observation, practice and shared experience across generations.
